never used it , but my friend's pediatrician told her no chamomile tea until at least 3 months, not really sure why.
It may depend on the baby. DS is 6 weeks tomorrow and we were told its fine, just not instead of any of his normal meals. DS is growing rapidly and eating like crazy, so doc wasn't concerned about doing it with him.
as I mentioned I don't know why my friend's ped told her not to, her baby was almost 10 lbs and 41 weeks , no health issues, so not really sure and I personally don't know much about it.
I'm sure it won't hurt if it doesn't help

Just a little update from me, and my gassy baby
up to this point I have been giving tiny amounts like .5 oz. My ped actually said I can give up to 8oz in 24 hour period, and up to 4 oz at a time. But not to replace meals.
DS had some issues last night, was so tired, fussy, not sleeping well, and wasn't eating much because he was fussing. I feel like its probably my BM and all the milk products I've had in past few days. Anyway...
This morning, I decided to give 3oz of tea made from chamomile tea bag and a teaspoon of fennel seeds and 1 tsp brown sugar.
It worked miracles, he calmed down, in a few minutes started crying for food, I BF for 15 minutes and he passed out for 3 hours. Woke up smiling and kicking his legs, tooting like crazy. I changed him and we did some leg exercises to get all the gases out. He was so happy, we played, he ate again and sleeping peacefully.

DS was very colicy and my PED reccomended this, I also thought it was odd but it helped and said it was much better then gripe water. We gave it to him between bottles at like 6-7 pm and about 2-3 ounces and it calmed, soothed and did get us like 2-3 hours of sleep on a good night...
His colic was better about 14 weeks and then we stopped using it.
Its harmless and he seemed to enjoy it.

We did with both boys and I believe it helped.

We did it too when DD was very little. Our pediatrician recommended we try it in with her bottles to help with gas.
