CBEFM Q

If I understand correctly, unless you have you AF at night (which you would set the "1" that morning), you would set "1" the next day, right?

Any time I have AF during the day, I must set the next day as "1".

Re: CBEFM Q

No, there is a way to advance the days up to day 5. I think when the "m" starts blinking you hit the button again.

Re: CBEFM Q

According to the CBEFM, if you get AF before or during the time in which you'd normally set it for that month - then count that as CD 1. If you get it after that time, set the next day as CD 1.

As for me, I always just counted CD 1 as the first day of full flow. Even though that's not what the CBEFM says... I would just set the next day to CD 2 (so there wouldn't be any confusion between my dates and the CBEFM dates - KWIM?)

Opps! I misunderstood. I always counted day 1 as full flow so if I got AF during the day then that would be day 1.

Re: CBEFM Q

So I should set it as what my cycles "should" be (how do you do that?). Then reset the day I actually get AF as day 1.

Huh?

Are you using it for the first time? Sorry, I'm just confused!

How can you tell I will use it for the 1st time? Chat Icon Chat Icon

OK. So on the 1st day I get AF (that day and not the next day) I set it to "1".

Then the following month, I do nothing until AF is back and that day, I set that day at "1" again.

Did I get it right?

Okay I understand now! It's not you, it's me!

Do you normally get AF in the morning or evening?

You need to set the CBEFM in the morning. Pick a time that works for you - you'll have 3 hours before and 3 hours after that time (so let's say you wake up at 5 on weekdays and 8 on weeekends... you'd want to set it sometime between then - like 6:00am, then you can test between 3 am and 9 am.. or however you want to do it).

If you get AF before the time you'd set the monitor.. then set it that day at CD 1. Whatever time you set it for that first day you use it, that will be the time that determines your testing range for that month - does that make sense?

If you get AF after you'd set the monitor... then set it the next day at that specific time - but set it for CD 2.

Then you POAS when it asks you to. If you aren't PG and get AF again, you'll just do that same thing. Hold down the "m" button at whatever time you want to determine your testing range.

I can probably explain this better if this doesn't make sense! haha

I usually get AF late afternoons or early evening. So according to the manual I would set AF as "1" the next day, right?

Now what I don't understand is WHY would I set the monitor BEFORE I have AF.

OK I think I understand now. When you mean time you would set the time, you mean the test window of 6 hours, right?

Exactly.

Since you have to use FMU - you want to pick a time that's good for both weekdays and weekends. The time that you set the monitor on CD 1 or CD 2 will be the time that determines your testing range.

Make sense?

Yes, according to the CBEFM instructions - but I always counted the next day as CD 2 since that's what it would be for temping purposes.
