CBEFM help!

I just received my CBEFM in the mail.
Lucky for me, I will be on day 5 tomorrow- and that is the last day that it allows you to begin.

Those that have experience, please help!

Before I leave for work tomorrow 7am, I am supposed to hold the m button down until I get to m5?

Then test on Wed day6 between the hours of 4am and 10am?

THANKS!

Okay then you've got it right!

Figure out when the best time to test will be. You'll need to use FMU. Pick a time to set the monitor, and you'll be able to test 3 hours before or after that time. So, if you wake up at 5:30 on weekdays and 10:00 on weekends, then you'd want to set it for maybe 8:00 am so you can test between 5:00 am and 11:00 am.

When you figure out the time - turn on your monitor at that time (between CD 1 and 5) and press the M button - hold it until it flashes whatever CD you are on.

For your first cycle, it will ask you to test on CD 6 and it will ask you to test every morning for either 10 or 20 days, depending on your body and what the monitor "thinks."

You should turn on your monitor when you get up (I keep mine and the sticks on the bathroom counter) and it will flash red and show the stick symbol if you need to test.

To test, you'll take one of the sticks and POAS with your FMU. Take off the little cap and hold it in your urine for 3 seconds (that's all you need, I promise!) then put the cap on the wet end.

Then hold it with the cut corner to the left side, facing down and insert it into the test slot (make sure it gets under the end piece, then click it down).

If you got it in right, it will flash test stick symbol for 5 minutes while it reads it. (I usually go into the shower right after and then check as soon as I come out).

Take the stick out FIRST, then it will show your reading.

1 bar = LOW = low fertility
2 bars = HIGH = high fertility (good time to BD every other day)
3 bars + egg symbol = PEAK. You'll O either the first or second peak day (likely the second).

The next day following your 2 peaks, you will automatically get a high day, since the egg can still be fertilized then.

Re: CBEFM help!

Wow,
you just made the whole book of directions seem so much easier.

Last question- tomorrow morning I plan on turning the machine on at 7am, holding down the m until it says m5. . . . then can I shut it off??

Also, I read in the book that I am on CD5 tomorrow because the if you get AF during the day you dont count that as day 1- meanwhile this whole time I was counting day 1 as the first time I saw AF.?.?

Thanks again!

Yup, you can shut it off after.

For the CBEFM, you're supposed to count the next day as CD 1 - but only if it's after the time when you normally would have set the monitor anyway. I always set it to whatever CD I was really on just so it wouldn't be off with my FF calculations. I don't think it makes much of a difference to be honest!

Re: CBEFM help!

AF came in the afternoon, so I am going to follow the CBEFM instructions this month and cross my fingers.

Thanks for all of your help.

I copied and pasted your info into an email- so I can have easy access to your directions.

Thanks again.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
