No. Because
1. I can't rely on someone else to get me to work on time
2. I can't be without a car at work (my job requires me to travel throughout Nassau county on occasion)
3. I hate the idea of having to wait for someone else to finally get home at the end of a grueling day
4. I enjoy my time alone in my car
Though honestly, lately I've been trying to convince DH to carpool with me when I go back because gas is so out of control but he won't do it for the exact same above reasons.

I did when I worked at my first school- there were five of us on Queens and LI and we saved a lot on the tolls over the years. It was a PITA at times but the savings were great.
If I could find someone now to drive with I would, because it's an hour. DH and I were thinking about going to work together but it was not really feasible.

I answered no...but that is only cuz I don't right now. I have in the past...for a few years when I lived in North Babylon and then again before my friend got PG and quit working. I never had a problem with it...as a matter of fact I love the savings of gas and wear and tear on your car.
There is noone who lives near me, so I can't anymore.
I may start taking the train when we move though...it's going to be a hell of a commute by car!

I live near two people I work with but both must drop off and pick up their kids from day care before and after work. I have asked them. I also must stop by my Dad's house and care for him 2X a week on my way home from work. I wanted to car pool on the other days.
I used to when I took grad classes at night at Stony Brook. Really passed the time and kept me awake driving on the road at 10pm.
My brother has started to car pool from Plainview to his job in Ronkonkoma. they've been doing it the past two weeks and it has helped a lot.

bc i live 7 minutes (3 miles) from work, dont have to deal w/ any highwaysor major roads, and i get anxiety when i have to be on someone else's schedule (i need to knwo that i can just GO whenever i want)

No, I live 4.5 miles from work. 
My second real job was in Jamaica, Queens, when I was 16 years old, and too young to drive, so my neighbor (who got me the job) would drive me. The next summer when I got my license, I would drive sometimes.

My sister lives and works near me so we worked out a carpooling schedule. It is great because not only are we saving big time on gas, you get company on the ride to work. I really am enjoying it!
