Im so sorry you all had to experience that  So glad everyone is okay, and many prayers for a quick recovery for your husband.
Just a suggestion, I would call the ped today and ask what you can suggest in regards to your 4 yr old experiencing that.

I hope that your DH has a speedy recovery. As difficult as it is, I would talk to DC about everything. Themselves, their fears, etc.

How scary.
I hope your DH recovers quickly and your 4yo isn't traumatized from all of this.
I absolutely HATE Middle Country Rd. Driving pretty much anywhere on that road west of 83 is a truly harrowing experience, and it seems to attract the stupidest, most careless and/or aggressive drivers.

Make sure you THROW AWAY your car seats and get new ones.
They should NEVER be used after an accident.

Yes!! call up their insurance company..they will reimburse you for them. I picked out 2 new car seats and then the other persons insurance company paid for them.
