Can't get one darn picture!
for our holiday cards. I'm done torturing my poor son. What possessed me to think a 10 month old would sit nicely in a wagon filled with presents. I'm just using our Santa pic, sorry to all of my fellow Jews who are going to receive that as our holiday card.

I feel for you. Sara jumped off the rocking chair during our picts. It was impossible. I finally got one with her foot in the air but I couldnt do it again

Re: Can't get one darn picture!
This is the reason I started using the photos I got from professionals. I would get so stressed over it.

We are in the same situation. We can't even get professional photos that look good. We might end up with a real close-up of his face and no background. I feel for you!

Re: Can't get one darn picture!
This is why I just used 3 random shots and plugged them into a photo card. I just used their faces, so far, everyone loves it! There was no way I could get them to sit still for a shot.

Re: Can't get one darn picture!
same thing here. we tried sears, mall santa and finally i just propped him in the rocking chair in his room and snapped away. he didn't smile, but i used them to have a sarcastic pouty-type photo card made.
this whole process was a pain!

Re: Can't get one darn picture!
All I can say is, thank goodness for digital cameras! It took me about 50 tries for each shot that I got of Jackson (and the dog - what was I thinking throwing a dog in the mix?!)
The pictures aren't even that great, but at least I got something.
Don't worry; you'll see that plenty of people don't have the greatest looking photos. It's not easy taking pictures of children!

Re: Can't get one darn picture!
LOL!! You should have seen me torturing my 3 kids yesterday...its was not pretty. Why wont a 4 year old, a 2 1/2 year old and a 6 month old all behave and smile??!!!?!! In unison!!!!! Shockingly, I got something useable but it was pure luck.
I remember strapping my ds #1 in his highchair and threw a holiday blanket behind him for our pic when he was 14 months. I have the digital outtakes to remind me that I tried about 150 pics before I gave up and put him in the chair for a shot.

it's funny you said that because receiving other kids pictures made me realize it's not gonna be perfect!

OMG Liz - that is hysterical!!!!! Hope all of you are doing well!
It really is so hard to take shots of the kids - those collage cards in Kodak and Shutterfly are an absolute godsend.

Re: Can't get one darn picture!
If this makes you feel better - I'm in the same boat. I've become some lunatic that screams at my kid, "Stop! Stop leaning on your sister! Stop making that face! SMILE! I SAID SMILE!"
It amazes me how I can take shots of anyone else's kids but with mine I get the goofiest faces.
