can you take powdered formula on the plane?
Or do I need to pack it...It's like a half full BJ's size powdered formula container!

I usually just brought over what I needed for the travel day.
When we cruised, I had to pack it for the week (can't get it on the ship) so I packed the cans into ziplocs and double bagged them. Both cans got crushed though, but it was useable
And the bag got flagged by security, guess formula looks like something ELSE

You can take it on with American (not sure about bringing the BJ's container I had the formula in those plastic container measured out per serving.)

I'm going American...The thing is I'm not sure how much I'm going to need or the week so I'm bringing everything and g-d forbid the bags get lost I feel more comfortable bringing it on the carry on with me so I know I have it

I would bring in the carryone the plastic container with the measured amounts (my Sassy one holds enough for 4 bottles). I would pack the big canister wrapped up in the suitcase and check it.

I would maybe call the airline just so you know for sure. We brought RTF formula and they had to check them with some gun first at the check gate, and then during baggage. I felt like an @$$ with so many people waiting and they had to check every single one. But again this was RTF, so I'm not sure if powder is different. We also flew american.

Just called they said it was fine...no limit to how much you bring...I have the sassy premesured container I just really am anal and feel like if g-d forbid our bags get lost at least DD will have something you know...
