Can you make bottles in advance?
I know formula is good for 24 hours if you refrigerate it. We have been making it in the dr browns pitcher and leaving it in the fridge.
But night time feedings are getting tough with 2 newborns and it seems like it would be easier to just pour the formula in the bottles and stick them in the fridge so they are ready and just need to be heated.
seems the same as leaving it in the pitcher, just want to make sure its ok before i start doing it.

It's fine. I prep all of DS's bottles this way the night before so they're ready to go the next day for daycare.

Re: Can you make bottles in advance?
Yes you can but I give bottles at room temp so making them in advance makes it more difficult for me because then I have to run them under hot water. I find it easier to just keep a pitcher of water on counter and scoop in the powder as needed!

I can't do this because when I mix them w room temperature water, it gets very frothy and gives DS gas. So I always make them w cold water and refrigerate them, then I use a bottle warmer to warm them when he's ready, and it takes less than 5 minutes (for an 8 oz bottle) to warm them up. You can def make the bottles in advance, to answer your original question.

We did the same thing with DS. It was the best thing in the middle of the night!

Re: Can you make bottles in advance?
making the bottles and putting them in the fridge is just as good as the pitcher. Same time frame

I make DS daycare bottles the night before. Other than that I never premade bottles but I only have one DS so it I had twins I probably would have premade them all the time.

Re: Can you make bottles in advance?
I did that ALL the time. We'd make a bunch for the whole day and keep them in the fridge SO much easier that way
