I would here, but it is probably totally normal there!
Get this! FIL travels a lot and he said that in Denmark, it is customary that if you go out to eat, that you leave your child in their stroller outside in front of the restaurant!! . Everyone does it, so it doesn't really phase them. Here - you would be arrested!!

Re: Can you imagine if you saw this here?
LOL That pic reminds me of being a little girl and visiting my mom's family in Guatemala. I was 8 and my cousin was four. Both of us where on the bike with my aunt. We ended up getting into an accident and I ended up having my leg trapped under the bike while my cousin skidded onto the cobblestone street. She was pretty banged up and I would feel my knee give out on me randomly for years afterwards but thankfully all three of us where ok. Its so crazy when I think about that....we weren't wearing helmuts or anything (my parents didn't know I went out).

LOL it used to be customary here but no more. My mom tells me years ago (we lived in Queens) they used to go shopping down Myrtle Ave and the strollers would be just be lined up outside the stores with sleeping babies in them. not now

Didn't a couple from Denmark get arrested in Manhattan recently after doing exactly that?

Outside of the fact that my heart stopped as I opened the photo & saw the children on it, it is a very cool picture.
I'm sure other countries think we are overly cautious, but I'm really glad we live that way.

If it was here you know social services would be there. But it's probably normal there.

Very easy to do if you are on a vehicle moving at the same speed as the bike. Relative to your vehicle, the bike isn't moving, but the background is. Keep the shutter open for a bit, and you get the blur in the background.

In the Dominican Republic, I saw a family of 7. Mom, Dad, Grandma, 3 kids hanging on for dear life and one baby, in a car seat, off to the side on moms hip.

so sad it's funny!! When I was younger it was me, my mom and dad until I got too tall for my dad to see over my head.

In that last shot I find it really odd they the adults are wearing helmets but not the kids. Why wouldn't you give your kid the helmet if you didn't have enough for everyone?
