Can we talk teething- molars especially?
DD never really had big issues with teething- when she got her bottom and top teeth she really was fine- I mean maybe a cranky day here or there, some motrin on occassion, but that was it. It was hard to tell when she was crying from teething vs just her normal every day disposition! 
Right now I see a hint of white popping up towards the back and I can only assume it's a molar.
last night and today she has been so bad- I mean going on these crying jags where she just runs around the house and screams- doesn't want me to come near her, pushes me away, lays on the floor and just crys and screams. She runs around too- almost like she is trying to run away from the pain. 
Her hand is in her mouth a lot.
I just feel awful. Like I can't do anything for her kwim?
Last night I gave motrin and she slept great. I just gave her motrin now so we'll see.
Question though- is this how it is with molars? God awful pain and screaming and crying and pure misery? More so than other teeth cutting?
Is this normal?
How long does it last?

ohhhhh yes...I went through that. It was horrible...pure misery for me and for her. Not fun at all. I just kept giving her motrin as needed until the molars finally came through and she was fine. For my DD, it lasted a week...maybe a little bit more. Just know that it will pass-she will be better. but yea she was cranky, miserable, crying for no reason, just wanted to be held and she had a fever too!
I felt soo bad for her!

Yes normal!! I'm going thru the samething!! Poor DD is even crying in her sleep! So sad. I have been giving her tylenol

Well think about it.... The surface of the molars are much larger than any other tooth so it takes longer to emerge and causes more pain.
DS wasnt any worse with his molars than with any other of his teeth but I gave Motrin also to help take the edge off. I will say it did take a while for all them to come out.
