can uti symptoms..?

Come back while on antibiotics? I am on macrobid and today is day 4. End of second day I felt sooo much relief but today rhe constant pressure etc is back and I have a few days left of meds. Is this possible?

Did they culture your urine to figure out what bacteria is causing the UTI? Not all antibiotics treat all bacteria. If your ob/gyn prescribed it it may be that they just gave you Macrobid because that's the go to antibiotic for UTIs when pregnant. But it may not be the right one for the infection you have. I'd finish it up but if it isn't better ask for a culture. I have chronic UTIs when pregnant due to a kidney disease and whenever I get a UTI my ob/gyn refers me to my kidney dr since he knows more about which antibiotic to use. Macrobid rarely helped me. I always needed Amoxicillan. Hope you feel better soon!

I would call the OBGYN and let them know asap .
Not to scare you but want to share my story : I had an UTI when I was 28 weeks, I went into early labor bc of it, started contractions and dilating, was admitted to LIJ, they stopped the contractions and labor, put me on oral antibiotics and let me go home, but within 2 days I was back with horrible back ache and lots of pressure. Turned out that even though I was on oral antibiotics the infection spread to my kidneys so had to be put on IV antibiotics for 24 hrs.

Just make sure to drink LOTS of fluids and call your OB so maybe they can do another urine test and make sure it's not getting worse.

I am gonna say that whatever bacteria is causing your UTI cannot be cured with macrobid. Did they culture your urine? If not, I would make sure to get it done ASAP. Not to frighten you, but untreated UTI's can lead to not such good stuff. I would make sure you get in to see your dr on monday! Til then, drink tons of water!!!
