well, it's not a listeria issue....
if it's all natural, I think it's fine...
I'm trying to avoid nitrites and other preservatives/additives... but then again, I caved and ate bacon last week 
here's my rationalization:
we can't be completely saintly with our diets... after all, we're still human!

Honestly... all within moderation!  I say go for it! One every once in a while won't hurt!
FYI: they sell nitrate free hot dogs in the supermarket. I've gotten a package. They're okay (not as fluffy).
I also eat bacon quite a bit. I don't think i could stop that if i tried! 
Now my doctor never told me i couldn't eat hot dogs, bacon or anything else. So i'm going by what he says!

They're fine, just don't have them every day. In my first trimester, I CRAVED hot dogs. I craved them so much I ate 3 in one day (and stupidly posted about it. Thank you Cheryl for reminding me not to burp!)
When I told my OB, she rolled her eyes and said once in a while was fine, but to not eat the whole package

I ate half a pound of bologna (not all in one sitting) about 2 weeks ago and I am still here and feeling fine. Same stuff. Once the meat is hot and cooked, you should be ok.

i had 2 last night. They were turkey hot dogs and so good. my dr told me straight from him hot dogs are fine. The last time he said he heard something happen from nitrates is when he was a med student and it wasnt even caused from hot dogs. He's in his mid 50's. I think its fine. Go for it and enjoy!

ITA!!! I love being pregnant but EVERYONE has advice and do's and don'ts for you...everything with a grain of salt. I always listen but I have had a wonderful pregnacy and live my life the same as I did before, only a little slower and a little bigger

My doctor said hot dogs are ok as long as I don't overdo it and she preferred if I cooked them myself. She warned me to be careful of the hot dogs at vendors.

Saturday I just had to have a bologna and cheese sandwhich...it tasted soo good.

I am so glad you posted this! I think the views on this board are totally different from when I was preggo with #1.
Personally, I eat hot dogs A LOT. I LOVE THEM!! 
I want to say I eat them once a week, but it's more like 2 times a week sometimes (I am addicted)

I've had them occasionally, i try not to eat them too often, but sometimes, u just are craving one! I like to get the Trader Joe's beef or turkey hot dogs that have no nitrites or other chemicals and preservatives when i can get there to pick some up.
