Can I get your advice?
Hi ladies, You all seem very knowledgeable and I was hoping to ask your opinion about something. My dh and I have been TTC for 5 cycles now. I just started spotting today and I am only 9DPO. My last 2 cycles I started spotting on 10DPO. The two before that I started spotting on 11 DPO. My doc told me she would do testing on dh and I after we tried for 6 cycles. I am very concerned that I spot so early. My cycles are also very short: 25 days usually. My question is: would you try for a 6th cycle and hope for the best or would you call your doc and ask to do the testing now (well, once AF really shows in a couple of days). Also, does it seem to you like something is "up" with my cycles? Any guesses? Thanks ladies!

Re: Can I get your advice?
Are you taking prenatal vitamins? They say that it can lengthen your phase after ovulation, I think it helped me...
Mine were like 8-10, and then started becoming like 11-14...

Re: Can I get your advice?
Thanks for your response! I do take a prenatal every day. I also take a B6 because I heard that this lengthens your luteal phase. So far, not so much.

woops, I cannot read. never mind. I'm not sure but it can't hurt to see an RE if you are concerned.

Re: Can I get your advice?
I don't know how old you are...if you aren't over 35, maybe try one more cycle...but I would move onto an RE instead of going through a regular obgyn. I found out the long way the RE is going to be more detailed and move alot quicker. Also, once you start a protocol, you will be observed more often.

Re: Can I get your advice?
If I were you I would try to figure out when you are ovulating with OPK or temping and then determine your luteal phase (the time from ovulation to AF). If the LP is less than 10 days or you are spotting between periods then see a RE for further testing.
ETA: I reread your post and it looks like you are tracking ovulation already. Temping will help you to see if you are getting at least 10 days of high temps after ovulation. HTH!
