Called King Quality for a window & siding estimate and they were kind of rude

I asked for an estimate. I am off Monday so I asked if they could come then. They asked if my husband and I were the homeowners. So I answered of course!

So this lady says oh well we like to make the appointment when both homeowners are home. I mentioned DH has an eratic schedule, I would prefer to get the estimate ASAP and share it with him when his gets home late. Well we can come after 6 she tells me. I said he gets home much later then that, I would like to get this done ASAP. And AGAIN she tells me they prefer both homeowners to be there. I STRONGLY told her that he is unavailable to be around at the time but I CAN BE HERE!!

So repeated herself AGAIN


SO I left it off by saying "In otherwords, if I had told you I was the only owner of the home, you would come here?" And she said yes. Why the hell be honest

I don't get it


Anyhow, can you recommend anyone else for an estimate for us?

We had them out for an estimate and they were incredibly rude. They would only come when we were both here and only talked to DH. Meanwhile he does NOTHING around the house, I'm the handier one and make all those type of decisions.

they did the same to me when i called for a quote last year. but i'm a bit of a beyotch and i told them how i felt about it. so the salesman came with just me home and WAY tried to oversell. plus they are very expensive.

we went with unified for some of our windows but were not completely happy. it took months to get our windows in and then they wouldn't schedule installation when we'd be home. so that was another fight and we went with another company for our siding and the rest of the windows

They do this because they want you both to sign a contract. They send commission sales people, who come in with a hard sell.

A few months ago I had this happen with 4 seasons. When they told me my husband had to be home and that was the only way they do business, I told them they could conduct business any way they wanted, but not with me. An hour later they called me back and came without my husband being home.

We personally steered clear of any company that is more worried about both homeowners being there than simply providing an estimate.

When I called for estimates for siding, windows, a door, and a sunroom the one company we wound up going w/ came when I was home alone. It was never a question and they didn't try to give me any sales pitches. Alure had so many sales pitches that we would never have used them.

from what I understand, they only sell 1 brand of window and they are I think they START at $750 per window!

We used them 3 years ago and had a great salesman
Guess it depends who you get

2 others in our neighborhood also used them

We just did siding and a roof. They were quick and cleaned up well
