I don't see any famous actress in these pictures. And I don't see anyone "stunning" or "gorgeous" ........I see a person who is being who they want to be - Great for her! I hope she's very very happy with her life !
But come on, she's no Jessica Lange - give me a break !!

Unbelievable! She looks incredible! I wasn't expecting the cover to be out so soon!
SIlly, silly naïve girl.
The season ended yesterday. Beside Kim announcing she is PG they HAD to keep the machine going and their name in the spotlight.
Just like the 17 year old is afraid of getting old.
I LOVE Caitlin. More power to her. Just the timing is making them buckets of money.

I don't think he looks gorgeous, his face looks over done to me and its a lot of photoshopping. I don't think he looks ugly but stunning and gorgeous are not my first thoughts.
However, I think it's great that he can finally be comfortable in his own skin and I'm happy for him. I'm sure it's been a tough journey for him and his family.
And call me dense but when I saw this on FB I said to my DH, "whose this Bruce's ex wife", cause I recognized the last name. In which he said "no dummy it's Bruce". I didn't recognize him.
Eta: I saw the other pic, I think so much better. Don't like her face in the cover.
Obviously you're entitled to your opinion about how she looks, but please use the proper pronouns. These pictures are of Caitlyn Jenner, and she should be referred to as she.
I am truly just curious. It has been stated that he has NOT had a sex change- as in has not become a women with genital surgery- so why does he have to be referred to as SHE? What constitutes a gender change? The person wanting to be another sex? Declaring it? Surgery? Hormone Therapy? A change of genitalia? A legal name change in the courts?
Not trying to be snarky.
Just truly curious.
I think it really comes down to how the individual person expresses their gender identity - not one specific thing like surgery or hormones etc. It can be as "simple" as dressing as the opposite gender, but in reality, doesn't even have to be that much. I work in an academic environment and it is an area of much debate right now (for issues of dorm rooms, bathrooms etc), but in general there is a lot of leaning towards going with however a person self-identifies, not their external appearance (genitals etc)
From Wikipedia (for what it's worth): "many transgender people experience a period of identity development that includes better understanding one's self-image, self-reflection, and self-expression. More specifically, the degree to which individuals feel genuine, authentic, and comfortable within their external appearance and accept their genuine identity is referred to as transgender congruence."

Freaking relax I have to get used to it. I didn't realized I used "he". If you noticed in my edited response I used "her". I didn't think to go back and check what I originally wrote. Your just being pissy cause I didn't say SHE looked stunning. I don't like over done make up on anyone.
I know many transgender people, one of my cousins transgendered from Freddy to Fredia in the 70s. Which wasnt very common and had to break through many barriers as Latino male trying to become a female. So give me a break.

Caitlyn refers to herself as she. So the rest of us should as well.
The moment a person begins referring to themselves in one way or another that is the moment they "become" that gender - I've read on many other boards not to confuse "gender" and "sex".

It's finally nice to meet the "her" we've been hearing about. Beautiful, mostly because we know that there is happiness behind that makeup! I think she looks great, and ITA that she looks better than Kris. Her hair is so glam..

Yep. GLAAD says to use which ever pronoun they use for themselves. In the Diane sawyer interview, she used he. For this interview, she used she.

Listen. I didn't attack you in any way shape or form. I have no idea what your background or knowledge is, and I simply shared that it is respectful to use the pronouns that the individual themself is using.

Shallow and condescending comments from exactly who I would expect.
It is called RESPECTING another human being and treating them with dignity. How can anyone say Caitlyn Jenner denies anything less?

Yes, sorry I was driving. Exactly this. The cover says "Call me Caitlyn", so she has chosen to live her life in her female identity and should be referred to with female pronouns and the name Caitlyn going forward.

No harm no foul. I think everyone here, regardless of opinion on how she looks, can say good for her for coming into her own skin, being comfortable, and living the life she wants now.

Yes! I actually, in all honesty, think she's prettier than Jessica Lange...not a young Jessica Lange but current Jessica Lange. She's way prettier than Kris too.

The reason we say she regardless of genitalia is because gender identity is different than biological sex assignment based on what genitals the person has.
