CAC quote - is this good?
Can someone let me know if this sounds good for CAC?
$11,000 with all rebates and discounts
expanded Levitt house with full dormer
no existing duct work - new everything
9 vents - 16 SEER unit
He said what adds a lot is the size of the house (9 vents) and the fact that they are going through the closets to get to the first floor from the attic.

Sounds reasonable from what I remember. We had estimates about 6 years ago... We ended up paying $6900 - and we were using existing ducts, but that price included a new furnace to run the CAC off of, because we didn't want to put an air handler upstairs and run new ducts just for AC when we had them already for our forced air heat.

Sounds good to me.
We paid about 16,000 for all CAC, 16 Seer, 12 vents, 2 floors, etc, with rebates I think it was about 13,000.

Sounds about right. We paid 10K for 9 vents, 16 (or 18, can't remember) SEERS. We also had no duct work and they had to go through closets to get from the 1st floor from the 2nd floor.
