C-section side effects a month later??
I had my second c-section one month ago and I feel so strange.
My incision is sill so tender and sore. I have been getting shooting pains there.
I have chills run through my body where my teeth chatter. I had them in the hospital too, but they said it's normal from the anthesia and shift in hormones.
My stomach has been really bad almost every day. Maybe 2 days I haven't been running to the bathroom (sorry TMI)
Lastly, the worst are the blinding headaches. I thought it was a spinal headache, but my Dr said no and to go get a cat scan because I got throw a clot in my head??
I never had this stuff the first time around..anyone else have crazy side effects a month later?

I am so sorry you're not feeling well but I'd get to the doc ASAP! That doesn't quite sound normal to me. Especially the headaches. I hope you get answers quickly. I'm even tempted to recommend going to the ER.

Re: C-section side effects a month later??
don't mess around with the headaches! I had a csection too, about 5 days after coming home from the hospital and I followed up w/ my hematologist (b/c they had me on steroids due to platelet issues), and the headaches I was having that I brushed off as being due to lack of sleep, stress etc. was in fact b/c my blood pressure was super high (150 over 108), anything over 100 and they said I should go to the hospital.....high blood pressure is called the "silent" killer, it can cause strokes, aneurysms etc. please get yourself checked out asap!! Feel better soon!!

Hi Helen .. I was seeing a hemotologist too. I had low platelets and the anesthesiologist gave me a spinal only and different meds that forced me to be in recovery for 24 hours. I felt so bad on the table that he had to knock me out. He even ordered the wrong meds for me after and left me in pain with no meds for 2 hours!! The meds he ordered are not for people with low platelets.
I blame him for a lot of this. What anesthologist visit is you 4 times??

something doesn't sound right at all, like this guy screwed up w/ what he gave you or something....what hospital did you deliver in and can you get a record of everything he administered and show it your regular doc? Maybe they can figure out what triggered you to feel this way....I also had to have a spinal but I felt "normal" within 3-4 hours after the csection (once the shakes subsided and I wasn't numb anymore it was just normal csection recovery).
