Re: C-section question again. re:gas
Oh man...I think gas was one of the worst parts. I literally thought I was dieing from it. I thought I was having a heart attack. I took gas pills..it helped a little..not too much. I basically just suffered through it. Im sorry..I know its awful.

Re: C-section question again. re:gas
I took gas pills and my MIL told me to walk around and it really does help. even if I was home, I would just pace around with the baby

Re: C-section question again. re:gas
the best thing to do is move.
for me the gas pains were the worst part. i took gas-x in the hospital, and when they would only give me 1 every 8 hours I had my husband buy some and bring it to the hospital

Re: C-section question again. re:gas
I too thought I was literally dying in the hospital. I felt like I was being stabbed every time I breathed. They had to shoot me up w/ something & then thought it may be my gallbladder; but it turned out to just be gas. Then they mixed up this special tea...& gas ex...and walking helped.

Re: C-section question again. re:gas
i would say get up and try to move around as much as you can...obviously don't over extend yourself, but it helps get things flowing.
feel better!!

Re: C-section question again. re:gas
Oh My, Oh My...I will never, ever forget that gas. I was released from the hospital on 12/28 and had gas from 12/25 until 12/31 when i had an explosion of epic proportions.
Hang in there...it will pass...

Re: C-section question again. re:gas
This is bar none the worst part. The gas pains were unreal. I know that they gave me a drink in the hosipital which helped, I think it was a combo of gingerail and apple juice, and it was warm. I don't know if it really did anything, but the gas will eventually go away. Hang in there!

Re: C-section question again. re:gas
Isn't the gas pain horrible?
Bending, lunges (if you are up to it) walking and gas-x were a big part of my routine once I was able to handle it. 2 or 3 sips of soda always makes me burp and that helped me tremendously

Re: C-section question again. re:gas
I still haven't forgotten that pain. In the hospital they gave me tea to help(I think peppermint) which definitely helped a lot and lots of walking. It will go away soon I promise, hang in there!

Re: C-section question again. re:gas
I was ok until about a week after my c-section. I was in so much pain that I could barely walk. It was awful. I took Gas-X pills and they helped a lot.

Re: C-section question again. re:gas
THe gas is the absolute WORST. It hurt more than the incision! I just took gas pills. Once I actually really went and got back to normal, the gas subsided...about 1.5 - 2 weeks post op.
Good luck
