By how many days does your surge vary...
from month to month??
Last month, when i got my positive opk, the line came up even before the control, then i did a digital to confirm. it was on cd 17, which i am on today-- and the line test isn't even close, but i know i am getting close because of cm. i have been testing since cd 12ish.
curious how it varies for others... i don't remember from last time, but i am going to check my notes.

Usually within 2-3 days. It is usually CD17-CD19, most months it is CD18.

From what I read it's ok if your O day varies, but your LP should not. So if one month you O on CD 12 and the next it's CD 14, then AF should be 2 days later that month.

thanks girls-- my cycles have been pretty regular, so I hope I get it tomorrow. Tested again at 6 30 and still negativo. I checked from the last time I was TTCing, and my cycles kept getting shorter off the pill, so there was no way to compare.
we shall see!

when did you start testing?
I personally feel like I wasted a bunch of OPKs this week because there seemed to be a "problem" with a lot of them, so I ended up testing more than once at a time.
We can't TTC this month anyway, even though I was planning on starting next month-- but I kinda was feeling, maybe we should just go for it. But aside from other reasons, I am worried about the O!

i have PCOS so i will not ovulate without medicine which i am on..i use to try opks but never got a smiley and even if i did it can false for girls with pcos so i figured why waste my money lol

Before we tried TTC I use an OPK just to see if I would get a smiley...having neve TTC I wanted to make sure I O'ed
