Bundle me/ Yes or No?

I went to a child preparation class that told me that the bundle me is unsafe. It interferes with the straps on the car seat and voids your car seat warranty. I also heard that you shouldn't use a snowsuit either for the same reasons. I was so excited about the Bundle Me. It seemed like such a great invention.
So my question is, who is still planning on using one?
I took it off my registry, but I'm thinking of putting it back on. Not sure yet.

as a mom, 100% YES!!!! i couldn't live without that thing!!!! we used the lite one in fall and still use the regular one.

(everything in the carseat is considered unsafe--you have to do what is right for you. i consider it safe since the straps on DS are tight enough.)

Im using it. It's been freezing out and IMO does not effect the straps....it really is made well and I have it in my carseat just waiting for baby.

I did hear that some hospitals wont allow you have it in when you leave the hospital, but if they ask me to remove it, I will put it back in once we get home.

I used the bundle me for the stroller, not the car seat, for the reasons you mentioned. Kiddopotamus makes an elastic cover for the car seat that we LOVED! It did not interfere with the straps and kept DD nice and cozy. BRU and BB carry them.

Yes for the bundle me.....How else would you keep your newborn warm. Coat interfere also and more so than the bundle me. Im giving birth in the spring and I already bought the bundle me lite. I used the regular bundle me for DD and she was born 1/31.

Its great, IMO

I'm using it. Honestly, I think some times people go overboard worrying about the "what ifs". I know a lot of my friends raved about it.

If you can't use a snowsuit, or a bundle me--- how are you supposed to keep your kid warm?

I am getting one-- as with anything in the car seat, if they are in there correctly, it should work. They are made to be put in there.

No, I had one with my son and he was soooooooooo sweaty from it. I prefer just to put the baby in the car seat and tuck a blanket around him.

I dont understand how it can interfere with the straps. It has cut out for the straps. Im using it.

I am by no means a worrier but I got one and returned it. I felt, after installing it, that it did interfere with the straps to some degree. It has been way too cold to bring DD out recently, but when it gets a little warmer, I will just put her in a warm outfit and wrap a blanket around her.

I got this one for my DS. It just goes over the seat, not under the baby, so it does not interfere with anything. I also like it better than the bundle me because his head is covered all the way around. With the bundle me the baby's head is still exposed

Absolutely! My ds was born mid November and I don't know what I'd do without it. Also, every baby I see out and about has one in their seats. If it was a true safety hazard I don't think it would be on the market in major retailers - they just wouldn't want the liability...but to each their own - you have to do what you are comfortable with.

For me, it was the greatest thing EVER! I had 2 November babies and I loved it.

I always tell my pregnant friends its a must have item.

As a mom of a winter baby I highly recommend it. I don't really see how it is unsafe...it has slats made for the infant seat, and the top part goes over the straps, not underneath it.

The Bundle Me is a god-send IMO ...And I'm hoping that if it was a hazard, it would not be allowed to be sold, being as far as I know, its main purpose is to be installed in a car-seat...I'm curious to know if theres been any reported cases of the Bundle Me interfering w/ safety in an actual accident ( heaven forbid)

I had concerns about it so I got the Posh Pouch, which only goes over the car seat. It has been great so far.

I have it for DS, it's a lifesaver! It has been so bitter cold the past few days, I can't imagine not having a way to keep him warm, and a snowsuit is more unsafe, IMO.

YES, YES, AND YES!!!!

The Bundle Me has been awesome. I kept it in the package for a long time, and thought it would be one of those things that would be returned to BRU. But it has been a lifesaver. It's been really cold, even here in NC. I love the fact that the bottom part stays in the carseat (no more cold fabric!) and the top can zip off if it gets too warm.

We don't even bother with her snowsuit--when it's REALLY cold, we just put an extra blanket underneath and throw a hat on her. It's great!!

I have one and loves it, granted I have no baby to put in there yet
I can't imagine not putting my baby in a snowsuit or a bundle me in this weather.
