Re: BTDT moms: high fluid?
i was told my fluid was borerline high at around 36 weeks and nothing ever came of it. i had a sono every week after that just to check my fluid and it never became a problem. try not to worry about it.

Re: BTDT moms: high fluid?
I was told last night that I have high fluid. I am also diabetic so they think that is the reason. The dr. was not too concerned. I have to go every week for a biophysical sono and fetal heart monitoring. I am 30 weeks and the baby is measuring 4.5 lbs.

Re: BTDT moms: high fluid?
at 34 weeks, i found out that i had high fluid too! baby was measuring 5.4
most times, (like 95%) its idiopathic. no reason for it.
for me, DS never dropped because of the high fluid. i never effaced or dilated so I had a csection at 40w2d. Most likely, the cause of the "failure to progress" was because of the high fluid
is perfect!

yeah -- my OB said that if my fluid levels stay the same, hes going to scedule a csection at 37w since the baby is aleady big to begin with!
im just nervous b/c if the fluid levels keep rising, is only a matter of time before he does a C... he wants to get me to at least 36w before doing anything, but anything could happen depending on my levels!!
i will find out more next week when i go for another sono

Re: BTDT moms: high fluid?
I was told last week at my 37 week growth sono that my fluid was high as well but the dr didn't seem concerned although he does have me getting another sono this week. He said the only real concern is when my water does break it might be quite messy (at least I hope that's the only issue)! I am dialated 1cm as of last week and the baby has dropped so I'm hoping this doesn't cause an issue for V-birth, but I guess we'll see!! Good luck with the remainder of your pregnancy!!

this is word for word what happened to me. Except I was induced 40 w 6 days. DS is almost 10 months and perfect!

dont stress it! my levels never went "up" from the time they noticed the high fluid. you will both be fine.

Re: BTDT moms: high fluid?
I had high fluid levels due to GD my first pregnancy. I was scheduled for an induction, but ended up having an emergency C-section when I went into labor on my own and the baby was not engaged. They were concerned about a prolapsed cord should my water have broken.
towards the end, I had stress test like every other day to watch the fluid levels and GD.
