BTDT-How long did you wait before having your 2nd child?
I dont know if Im just nuts but DS is 4 months and Im already thinking about having another baby, yea, I think Im crazy  Anyway, just curious to know how long you ladies waited before you started trying for #2

BTDT-How long did you wait before having your 2nd child?
I started thinking about it around that same time! By about 6 months, I had a MAJOR itch. We had already decided before our first was born that we would start trying when he was a year old. We got pregnant on the first try, and our boys are 22 months apart.

I conceived # 2 when DS was 13 months. I am due in March, DS will be 22 months.

We started trying for our second the month before our first turned 2. Unfortunately it took me10 months to get pregnant so my DS are a bit further apart then I had initially wanted.

Ideally we wanted to wait until DD was 2 before we tried for #2. Apparently those plans went out the window and we conceived #2 when #1 was only 6m old
They are now 2.5 and 16m and it's great!

DD1 and DD2 are 23 months apart

We are TTC now, and started last month when DS was 14 months old. I've been thinking about it for a long time, since DS was about 6 months, but I didn't want them less than 20 months apart.

I was like you. I wanted another when DS was about 4 months. I was starting to forget about all the sleepless nights the first few months and DS was gettign to be so much fun. While I am ok if it happened now I do think we are going to wait to try when DS is about a year. But I see nothing wrong with trying now if you and your DH are ready!

My boys are 3.5 years apart. I love the age difference. I never wanted kids close together.

I got baby fever around that same time. I was EBF and that kept my AF from returning until 13 months. BF was the only BC we ever used but I did a lot of research and we knew when it was no longer very effective. We were obviously ready for #2 at that point. I got pg the month after AF returned and DC will be 22 mo apart. We knew we wanted them fairly close together.

We started trying when my DS was 5 but we had a lot of unexpected fertility issues and it took us 3 years before we conceived.

Same.
I was ready to ttc earlier, when ds 1 was about 2y but dh wasn't ready, so we waited and ds2 was conceived our first month trying when ds1 was about 2.5y. My boys are 3y3m apart and its ideal!

Got the itch when DD was about 6 months but didn't scratch it til she was 14-15 months. My girls are a lil over 23 months apart and I can honestly say I love the age difference!

Not long. My DC are 12 months apart and my ped actually told us that my 1 y/o is too long to feel jealous. He said that 12 months apart is better than 2-3 years for this reason! He just told us this out of the blue at our newborns first visit and it made us feel great because we were feeling bad for our older baby!

Exactly the same for us! I probably would have been fine if they had been closer together or a bit further apart, but I think 22 months is going to be great!

I was just like you, I started wanting #2 when my DS was 3 months old! I went off BCP when he was 6 months old, but unfortunately, it is taking a lot longer than anticipated, for my DS is now 21 months old.
