BTDT Cloth Diaper Mommies

I am considering cloth diapers for my twins who are due this summer, but I know very little about it. I was hoping some of you BTDT moms could offer some help and knowledge!

- What brand did you use? I've been looking into FuzziBunz - Any feedback?

- How many will I need per baby?

- Did you use sized diapers or the one-size adjustable ones that grow with baby?

- Is the cleaning part gross?? lol I will be BF (God willing!) and I remember how much my BF DS pooped in the beginning. Just wondering if it will just add more stress to have to wash them, rather then just tossing them in the trash.

Any additional info that you'd like to share would be great!!!

I cloth diapered my twins for most of their first year... I would still be doing it but my DH does the laundry and he was falling behind on it.

I found the message board diaperswappers to be a very useful place to find information. I am not a fan of pocket diapers but everyone has an opinion on cloth diapering. What they like and don't like. My favorite brand is grovia and I prefer the AI2's with stay dry inserts but for smaller babies, especially since they will probably be preemie I would get the newborn size.

The more you have the easier it is on you and the less wear you put on the diapers.

I CD my 13 mo since he's 2.5mos. I love it! Every time that we have to be in sposies, I cringe.

Cleaning isn't gross at all! I have a diaper sprayer. Got it from amazon for a great price and does the job. I know many moms don't spray BM poop. Not necessary til solids or formula is introduced. I recommend trying out different brands before investing in one. Maybe try some prefolds and fitted along with some pockets. Pockets are my fave. Brands I love are alvas, Kawaii, Coolababy, and bumGenius. all could be purchased pretty cheap thru co-ops.
