Good for her, he seemed to be dragging her down. It happens to alot of women, she just had to play hers out in a public forum. I've never been a fan (too old LOL) but I hope she regains her former confidence and comes back bigger and better.

Shocker...
But I agree with you Mable - I am a little surprised by the timing.
I really wouldn't be surprised if the timing is a publicity stunt. Think about it... she just popped out baby #2, got her body back and is obviously dying to show it off...all in time for her much awaited "comeback"...for which it greatly benefits her to be conveniently...single.

On the MSNBC website, a source said "Before he got married, Kevin was sitting down with lawyers, discussing legal and financial issues. He was sitting sort of slumped over with a baseball cap over his eyes and a lawyer was talking about how he had to sign a pre-nup and Kevin looked sort of bummed out."
"But then the lawyer explained that for every child the two of you have together, you would receive X amount of dollars. His eyes really lit up."
I don't understand this -- so b/c Brit is the breadwinner she pays him child support?
What if he doesn't have custody of kids? why does he need the money?
I am so confused
She's not paying him child support. He's getting money based on the terms of the pre-nup. The pre-nup happens to award him more money based on the number of children they have. If they didn't have a pre-nup, he could petition the court for alimony (spousal support) since she clearly makes more money than he does. Also, without a pre-nup, he'd be entitled to half of her earnings during the marriage and possibly more depending on the state's divorce laws.

I remember when she found out she was pregnant for the 2nd time, she was reported as crying and very upset about it - maybe she knew then the marriage was over, and wanted to at least get thru the pregnancy intact before separating...

She def. knew the marriage was over before baby #2. I honestly believe if she hadn't gotten PG she would have been already divorced months ago.
He totally got her PG again on purpose - not to say it's not her own fault as well for not taking precautions.

There were reports of her being overheard at a cafe in LA saying how she was talking to the divorce lawyer when she found out she was PG.

On September 18th, the announcement came that the couple had actually married.
The press kept waiting for the marriage license to be filed and it appeared on October 8th. Kevin and Britney said they wanted to wait until their pre-nup was completed before filing the license. Oops. If the pre-nup was completed after the marriage, it isn't a pre-nup after all, is it? And there is no such thing as a post-nup. In the event of a divorce, Britney stands to lose a substantial sum since most of the assets are coming from her.
So, now we've established there is no pre-nup. But are they married?
According to the law, a written agreement takes precedence over an oral agreement. Kevin and Britney signed an agreement NOT to get married on September 18th. But do their verbal "I do's" on September 18th pre-empt the written contract? One legal authority suggests the validity of the marriage is governed by the state, not the contract. And the state encourages people to get married. Therefore, their vows on the 18th override the "fake marriage" agreement.
Poor Britney. Yet again, she has gotten married without a valid pre-nup. Who knows, maybe she'll get it right with husband #3.
I hope for her sake it is not true.
