bringing baby to the beach,
I'm trying to figure out what I will need to bring my 6 year old and 10 month old to the beach. I will be alone with them most of the days.
I see people struggle with the pop up tents.
I was thinking to bring a pack n play. Good or bad idea?
I saw this one,
pop n play
I figure the above would be big enough for him to move around. I could always put another umbrella over it.
Any other suggestions?

Just think about all the gear you will be bringing. That IMO is the only con.

Yep: I always traveled light: brought a beach bag with bare essentials (lotion, change of clothes), a blanket & an umbrella.
The real issue is you have to carry the younger one & lug all the rest of the stuff.

I already lug everything in the beach buggy. Chair, umbrella, blanket, towels, cooler bag, sand toys.
I figure the 6 year can walk and even carry a bag. and the baby I will put in the Bjorne.
My concern is keeping him shaded and contained. Umbrellas always fly away.

At that age, my Dd didn't want to stay confined in a tent or pack n play. I just brought a blanket, umbrella and lots of toys.

lugging a PNP to the beach w/ a 6 year old and 10 month old is a lot.
I'd to a blanket, umbrella (or even the lightweight pop up tent) sunblock, water, some goldfish crackers and toys.
Keep a change of clothes in the car, and baby powder.

You can bring a small blow up pool and put a few buckets of water in for the baby to play in. That would probably keep him happier than a tent or pnp.

Last summer my little one was 16 months and I brought the jogger stroller. He would still nap in it so it was worth me lugging it.
I pack light when I am alone for the beach. I have 3 kids and all their change of clothes, diapers, snacks fit in a backpack. I bring a small cooler (soft) and shove it under the stroller, lay the umbrella across the top of the stroller, mommy hook with a bag of sand toys and towels. Older 2 walk (they were 3.5 last summer).
I am a HOT MESS when I finally get to a spot on the sand but we love the beach so it is worth it.

Be prepared for baby to eat sand at some point
Uts alot to pack but we had a lil nursery tent that helped

Some sort of baby powder to get the sand off their skin.
I know that baby powder was frowned upon bc it's like pure poison or something so I'm sure there's a "natural" brand you can use - I'm not sure the name but I'm sure there's something out there non-death form powder that will have the same benefit of removing the sand.

I bought that beach cart and it was the best purchase ever! I have 1 child and am alone with her during the week i struggled with just her. 2 kids you def need a cart lol makes it soooo much easier
