Breastfeeding/pumping Weaning advice

So I am trying to embark on this weaning thing and completely clueless!! Any help would be appreciated. I currently BF 4-5 feedings on days I don't work. When I work I pump once on half days and twice on full days. I wanted to drop the pumping sessions first obviously and am wondering how this works.
1. Do I just stop pumping @ 11-12 ish and then breasfeed him at his next time which would be 3ish? If so I will be going from 7a to 3 which seems like a long time. Is that ok or will I end up with mastitis??? (As it is I only pump for about 7 minutes at work so should I try to cut down on the legnth of pumping each day?)
2. On days I don't work aka weekends/mondays when I would normally BF instead of pump, do I give him a bottle/sippy at the time I used to just breastfeed him?
3. When do I go to cutting out the next session? Will my supply keep up eventually for just am/pm sessions
Completely clueless.....help!

Re: Breastfeeding/pumping Weaning advice

I e pumped for my preemie twins. I dropped each pump by lessening the amount of time that I pumped. so If I were dropping my noon pump and normally pumped for 40 min, I would do 30min for 2/3 days, 20 min for 2/3 days, 10 min for 2/3 days and then be done. I did this for each pump.

Re: Breastfeeding/pumping Weaning advice

I used to BF in the morning and then pumped at work every three hours until I got home. I kept the am BF and then slowly i stretched out the 3hrs to 4ish hours and kept the night BF. I think it took a month or so but it worked out ok. I think in the begining I was engorged but it worked itself out.

Good luck
