I only have one, and he is a boy, and he is VERY high maintenance lol. But, I hear my two nephews were easier lll.

My DD and DS are complete and total polar opposites in both personality and behavior. My DD is now almost 7 and has always been a very easy, cautious, laid back, go with the flow type of kid. My DS on the other hand is FULL of energy, always on the move, very physical, and completely fearless.

He is just over 2 and so far I would say it's been a COMPLETELY different experience raising a little boy over a little girl. Having had my DD first and her being so easy we were spoiled, lol, but we've adjusted to life with a DS and it's been SO much fun having a little boy running around. He's a complete blast and although he can be exhausting he's also the sweetest, most loving, most cuddly little person in the world.

It's been a fun ride so far having one of each but for sure a completely different experience!!

I have one DS who is 3 and (so far) no DDs so I can't really compare but I can tell you what is true about my son:

- He is HIGH energy. He.does.not stop moving from the moment he wakes up, until the moment he goes to sleep.
- Because of his constant moving/jumping/climbing, we have a TON of booboos over here. The kid always has bruises or bumps or scrapes somewhere!
- DS loves his momma like nothing else. The amount of snuggles and kisses I get is unbelievable to me. DS tells me things like "mommy you look beautiful" or "I love you so much" and my heart completely melts. I am sure everyone says this about their children no matter what sex their kid is, but DS and I have a bond like no other.

I've never had a girl just my DS, but I can say for him he's not the "typical" boy I would hear about. Climbing, full on energy. He was quite the opposite. Very chill. VERY loving. He's all about snuggling with his mama. DH works 2 jobs so he's not home often. DS & I go everywhere together.

I have a 11 month old son. He is literally the love of my life. He's super easy going, very active, loves to play, laugh, eat and just is so much fun to be around.

I think being extremely affectionate is something about a boy cuz so many people on this thread are saying it and my Ds is sooooooo crazy affectionate I've never seen anything like it, my dd was no where as loving that's for sure!

My DS is very intense and cautious. He has never been snuggly even as a baby so I'm hoping my DD is! I don't think baby's sex plays a huge roll I think it's more individual personality

Baby boys are the best! My DS is very different from his younger sister. He is calmer, takes it all in, plays with his toys alone and very affectionate. He loves everyone and I rarely hear the word no unlike his sister whose favorite word is no. He is smart, funny, such a ham but knows not to push to far. Now my younger DS, I have 3 DS is 3 1/2, DD is 2 and DS will be 1 in a few weeks, he is all over the place. I think he will be a combo of both his siblings. He has already shown that Mamma is all he wants. He hugs and is very affectionate like his brother. There is something about boys that I think moms only understand just like girls and their dads. Enjoy him!

We made our first visit to the emergency room for stitches before DS1 was 1! Both of my boys are SUPER high energy and insanely cuddly. They are super powered mushballs. They also are always trying to destroy the world and are funny as heII. I constantly have to tell my older son that it's not okay to roar at people (especially little girls).

I mean, I don't know if you can go by me - I have one son and just one son. So, all I know is a boy and I know each boy might be different. My boy happens to be a very good boy, I'm fortunate.

My nephew, who I helped raise, is also a wonderful boy who is now thirteen and growing into a MAN and I cannot believe that but anyway --

My son is very curious, affectionate, gentle, and he can be sensitive.

He can be very cerebral at times - he will take one toy, sit with it, and STUDY it. You can see him just taking it all in when he is playing with the toy. He can be very precise too.

He will be two in September. He listens very well. He never did a lot of common baby things - like the "they put everything in their mouth" - he never did that! Unless it was food, he would not put it in his mouth. And he is a great eater. Eats healthy and eats tons of food. I joke he eats me out of house and home because of how much food I buy for such a little boy.

He is now speaking A LOT and repeating everything. He loves being able to communicate and get his feelings across - before he was able to really speak, when he was younger, he would get frustrated at times and screech. I felt bad for him but he worked through that quite quickly and now that he can communicate he is just the happiest little boy.

He is an excellent sleeper - has been a wonderful sleeper since the day he was born. Between 11-13 hours a night and 2-3 hour nap a day, currently. He loves *LOVES* his routine - each day he goes to preschool, over the summer he does a preschool/camp combo. Each Saturday and Sunday we do My Gym. And each night he has a tub, his dinner, reads his books, and goes to bed by 7pm the latest. And that is how he wants it every.single.day.no.matter.what LOL. He loves his routine.

IMHO, boys are way easier, my son is a mama's boy, he doesn't give me much trouble (he is almost 6) - my daughter also has a sweet side but she has LOTS of drama too - lol

my son is way more physical and does stupid sh!t all the time (jumping off high things, swinging his play sword like a mad man. DD is much more likely to sit down with a book and chill, DS never chills

ITA!!! I thought my DD was affectionate until my DS came along. He is nonstop with the cuddles, hugs, and kisses. Everyone told me boys are cuddle bugs but I had no idea just how much until I had my Grayden. I could just eat him up!

My DS is the absolute best. He is such a good boy and such a love. He is 5. My DD is 3.5 and shes a typical girl. She is full of drama and attitude and whining (but can be sweet too when she wants to be). We just had #3 and it is another girl. Let's hope she is like her big brother and not her sister . Let's put it this way, if we could guarantee a boy, we would go for #4 in a heartbeat!!!

I had completely the opposite.

My son (first born) was a terrible baby. High maintenance, colic, fussy eater, etc. My daughter is 3 years younger and WAY more laid back, even to this day.

I have 2 boys, but they're very different. DS1 is very laid back and calm. He's a good listener and can keep himself entertained for long periods of time. DS2 is independent, stubborn, full of energy from the time he wakes up until he goes to slerp, and does what he wants regardless of the consequences. He's super affectionate and sweet one minute and tackling or hitting his brother the next minute. He has a very big personality. He's definitely a handful. He was a very easy baby while DS1 was a tough baby. Both of them changed a lot around 1.

I have once piece of advice as the Mom of 2 boys - when putting their diapers on, point the peesh down ........
it will save you a TON of laundry !!
