Bottles that work well with rice cereal??
Hi all,
I've decided to give my DS (3 months) some rice cereal in his bottle before bed but am having trouble with it flowing out of the nipple. I use Dr. Brown's bottle with a level 2 nipple... but the formula seems to be too thick for the hole.
He is too small for the level 3 nipple - so I was wondering what bottles you use that work well with rice cereal.
I am trying 1 tablespoon for a 5 ounce bottle.
Thanks so much!

I think Dr. Brown's has a different type of nipple besides the standard-I think it's Y cut...someone told me to get that one for thicker liquids.

We use Born Free and you can just open up the nipple a little by using a paper clip or small cuticle scissor.
Start off small and open it up more little by little to see how he does

He isn't too small for level 3 if the formula is thicker b/c of the rice- the two sort of cancel each other out, kwim? It's not like the nipple is any different.
In my experience the Dr. Brown level 3 and 4 are good for rice or whatever. The Y cut was CRAZY like I'm not putting a sandwich in the bottle...

I use the playtex drop in bottles, but when we started putting cereal in his bottles, we switched to the y-cut and they work great.
