blood work with NT scan
UGH i feel like this pregnancy I'm not on top of things as I was with my first....have my NT scan tonight; I found a blood work report for Quest with my US appointment. I assume I was supposed to get this done before the scan or my next apt (which is Wednesday). I left my cell phone home; and I don't want to call my OB from work since I haven't told my job yet and i have NO privacy. I hope this doesn't screw anything up if I was supposed to get the blood work done before Wednesday.

I would probably just go today to Quest - but they close at 3. My office does all their blood draws in house, so I don't have to worry about going to the lab for them. If you can't get to Quest by 3, just call the office to ask for the blood work to be written on a regular script pad so you can go to any lab - there are others that are open later.

I had the finger prick blood test at north shore hospital immediately following the scan in the same office. Is that an option?

I remember the finger prick at LIJ as well; so I'm thinking this bloodwork is not part of the NT scan then? Maybe just routine bloodwork my OB ordered? I'll have to check online and see what time Quest closes near me and hopefully go tomorrow.

That's what I did, I had other BW done weeks earlier, but nothing at my NT u/s.
I find it so funny how different doctors have such different protocols for their patients. For example, I am getting my anatomy scan at 21 weeks, but I've read other girls on here go much earlier.

blood work with NT scan
I had to get blood taken the day of my NT Scan as part of the test. I think they said I could wait until the next day if I needed to. There's also a second blood draw between 16 and 18 weeks as a second part of the test. I have heard that they can order the NT Scan with or without blood work.
This was separate from the blood work they ordered at my first appointment.

The only bw that my doctors office did was the fingerprick for the NT scan. All other bw was done at quest.

Thanks everyone. I think I just had the papers together accidentally. Had my NT scan and finger prick last night...going to Quest today for the other bloodwork. Feel bad that I waited so long for it!

I had the blood work drawn first and then a week or two later (cant remember) had the sonogram follow. I never had my finger pricked.
