blinds

Ok so we have lived in our house for almost 2 years with those paper shades and I am finally ready to get blinds for our windows. If you have the fake wood blinds and like them please let me know the brand.

Also, has anyone purchased blinds from smith and nobel? How is the quality. The samples seem really nice.

Re: blinds

Keith and I just purchased Faux Wood Plantation blinds this weekend and I love them. They are 2 inches thick and are plain white. We bought them at Lowes and received 10% off if you spend under 500 bucks and 15% off if you spend more than that. The brand we used were Levolor.

Good Luck! FM me if you'd like pics. I can take some for ya!

Re: blinds

What size are your windows and how soon do you need them?

We have a lot of fake wood blinds that we got at Lowes that won't fit the odd shaped windows in our new house. We've only had these a year (LOVE them) and will probably want to sell them when we move (for a lot less than we paid for them).

I can measure them for you if you want - they're on our standard windows. We have 8 sets!

ETA -- we just bought the least expensive brand carried at Lowes -- actually, I think they were the only brand Lowes carried. My parents have had the same ones for about 5 years now and no problems - they also love them.

PS - We never took the "extra" slats off of ours so length of the window shouldn't be a problem.

Re: blinds

I got my wood blinds from smith & noble - I can't speak highly enough about the quality and ease of installation. I just got additional samples in the mail today so that I can order blinds for my upstairs. I highly recommend them.
