Blankets in crib

I know they say no blankets in the crib while baby is sleeping but do crocheted blankets count? Stupid question but they're "holey"

Re: Blankets in crib

We were told at our hospital baby class, no blankets what so ever. They said the best thing to use was the halo sleep sacks.

Nothing in a newborn's crib. No blankets or toys.

Blankets in crib

Of course it counts. A blanket is a blanket.

Even crocheted blankets can bunch up and suffocate.

I didn't use blankets for I don't even know how long. DS#1 had a SleepSack on until he could walk!

My lil one LOVED having something by his face...we started letting him use a blanket when he could lift his neck up and was starting to roll over (around 4mo). I'm not saying I rec'd it, but it REALLY helped in him sleeping through the night for us!

I used the crocheted blankets with the larger holes when Dd was around 20 months. She's 2 and still uses that now.

Once Dd was too old to swaddle, we switched to sleep sacks. There is no need for blankets in the crib when they are little.
