Yes, I loved it growing up. I always played with friends and entertained myself. I was never lonely. As an adult, I think it's going to be tough when I have to face certain situations, like a loss of a parent, all by myself. I will have my dh but if I had a brother or sister, I think it would be easier to deal with.

Other is not there.
I was the youngest for 10 years, until my little sister was born. I'm still considered the "baby" though.

I agree- we lived very close to family, so I had cousins over all the time-however I was the youngest grandchild-there are about 10 yrs in between me and my cousin right before me. I grew up with second cousins really... I had my friends over all the time, however there were times where everyone else would be going out with their siblings, I wouldnt have that... I asked for a brother or sister every year for christmas...at ten, i got a puppy LOL
as an adult, I think it will be harder for the reasons you mentioned...
