BF baby not pooping?
I exclusively pump, my LO is 8 weeks old and hasn't pooped in 3 days... Is this normal? How can I get her to poop? She seems to be pushing but no luck

DD used to pump like once a week when she was EBF. Totally normal. Unless she is uncomfortable there's no reason to worry.

It's completely normal, your LO is most likely going through a growth spurt and using up all of your milk. I've seen BF babies go 1 1/2 -2 wks with no BM. As long as your LO is comfty I wouldn't be concerned.

Re: BF baby not pooping?
I read about a great exercise that seemed silly at first but worked really well for my DD (big poops within 15 min after completing both times)
Start by running 2 fingers from the center of her chest (between her nipples) down to her diaper line 15 times.
Next, take her legs and bring them into her chest (knees bent so she looks like she is in a frog pose). Hold them there for 15seconds.
Next, find her belly button and make a one inch circle around her belly for 15 seconds.
Last, bring her legs into her chest again for another 15 seconds.
I never had to repeat it, but they say you can repeat it several times a day until you have success.
Also was told if that doesn't work to put some Vaseline up the butt to help loosen, but that's only if she appears uncomfortable.

Re: BF baby not pooping?
I've heard that it's normal for a EBF baby to go up to 15 days without a BM.

Re: BF baby not pooping?
My pediatrician wanted to see my EBF DD after she didn't poop for 7 days. Just to check her out and make sure there wasn't an obstruction. Less than 7 days, she wasn't even a little concerned.
