Best product for infant gas?
We always used Mylicon with my older son, which worked great. My younger son is almost 6 weeks and has been having some gas issues for a few days now. Last night my.husband went to buy Mylicon but couldn't find it so he got Little Tummys instead. So far, it doesn't seem to work as well as Mylicon did. Just curious what others have found to be most effective for gas relief.

Re: Best product for infant gas?
If you read the active ingrediants- it's all the same. Myclicon, Little Tummies, Target Brand, CVS brand, any generic- are all just simethicone...
Unless the dosage or mg are different it shouldn't make any real difference.

Re: Best product for infant gas?
i used little tummies and sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. i would try other things like putting him on his back and doing "bicycle legs" or just gently pushing his legs to his tummy. also propping him higher on my shoulder and patting his back (so his tummy was resting on my shoulder)

Re: Best product for infant gas?
I used the Target Up and Up version of Mylicon drops. For us, it worked just as well as Mylicon.

Re: Best product for infant gas?
when mylicon didnt work we usually laid her on her tummy over our knees and patted her back until she was more comfortable. sometimes it worked and sometimes it didnt. she had bad gas until around 3m.

Re: Best product for infant gas?
For us, doing 'bicycle kicks' and baby yoga for gas helped the most (you can find videos for it on Youtube).

Mylicon did nothing for us. Colic Calm worked in the moment.

Re: Best product for infant gas?
I agree. Colic calm works wonders for gas and all natural herbal ingredients. Just be careful. It stains.

Re: Best product for infant gas?
Mylicon (or whatever simethicone product we have) in every bottle and Gripe Water when he is very fussy/gassy. We also switched to Similac Sensitive for Spit-Up and DS has been much better. We also do bicycle kicks and lay DS flat on his back or belly in the pack & play (whichever he seems to be more comfortable).
