Belly button rings
When did you take yours out? I know I will have to eventually and am not looking forward to it.

Same here... and now that I look down at my 33 week belly, I really appreciate the fact that it is not in there!!!

Re: Belly button rings
I took it out in the beginning. I just didn't want it in anymore. Since I don't have the abs I used to, I think I'll permanently give up the bellybutton ring.

Re: Belly button rings
Yeah they're special plastic bendy ones. But I still thought it was time to give up the ring. And now it's almost closed, i can only fit a regular earring in it.

Re: Belly button rings
I got the belly ring for pregnancy but it was uncomfortable rubbing against my pants at 7 mos, so I wound up taking it out. I repierced it myself 4 days after birth. Since it was there for so long only a very thin piece of skin grew over the opening.

Re: Belly button rings
I took mine out during my first pregnancy around 23 weeks I guess. it got very uncomfortable. I had considered putting in one of those pregnancy ones and called a few places to see if they carried it and would change it for me. A guy that I spoke with who does the piercings said he does not recommend them... something about the skin growing over them. I don't know if this is true or not... just what I was told.

Re: Belly button rings
I've been sooooooo done with mine for years and years but I've actually never ever taken it out and I'm super scared It's the same one that was put in 10 years ago and I'm afraid it's not going to come out.

Re: Belly button rings
I really really want to take mine out, but I know I wont like the scar, then again if I get covered in stretch marks, it wont really matter.
I am totally over it though, but debating.

Re: Belly button rings
After this post, and having the woman who did my sonogram at Madonna tell me that I needed to take it out soon - I finally took it out last night. You can barely see any mark or anything. It is really weird to not have it there after so long though since I've had it for almost 10 years.
