Bedrooms and hardwood floors???
We have hardwood floors in our bedrooms that will need to be finished....should we bother or just put down carpet. The floors are beautiful real wood- but the more i think about it I feel like bedrooms should be carpeted....just wondering what you'all think...

I love HW anywhere....you can always put down an area rug if you think it might be to cold looking for the bedroom

I have hardwood in my bedroom and wish I put carpet down before we moved in. It looks great but I love carpet in the bedrooms. It is also a pain to clean under my king bed.

I also like carpet in the bedroom. It's how I grew up though, and I just like that familiar feeling. It's cozier to me somehow.

For me Hardwood, no area rugs
I don't like carpeting, to many accidents with my dog, If i had carpet, it would have to be ripped out already with the messes he makes, He is a senior dog who is blind now from cataracts and who was never trained.
That is not the norm obv, but its my reasoning

Same here! Its easier to clean the hardwoood floors and better for my allergies personally.

We have hardwoods. We used to have an area rug, but we sold that and now I love the look of my bedroom. I will buy small runners for each side of the bed though. I don't like getting out of bed, hitting a cold floor.

I am doing both because I have to, one floor is beyond damaged (was two rooms split to make into one and its a HUGE zip zag pattern) so that one will be carpet. The other will be refinished floors. I am experimenting to see which I prefer for the third bedroom since that i can either install new hardwood floors or carpet in two years.

I can't wait to rip up my carpet and lay hardwood. No more carpeting for us....just the hallway and stairs(runner).

I loathe wall-to-wall carpeting, so for me it's all hardwoods and area rugs.
