Bday Party Day/time preference

Which would you prefer? Saturday party at 1:00 pm or Sunday party at 5:00 pm? Unfortunately these are the only slots available for where I want DS's party. The Saturday one is 5 days before his bday and the Sunday one is 3 days after his bday. I'd rather do one after his bday though, but I don't know how people feel about Sunday evening parties.

I like Sun evening because it doesn't become the central thing of a weekend. I MUCH prefer mornings or evenings.

How old are the majority of the kids at the party? DD is turning 2 and for her upcoming party I avoided the 12-3 time slot for napping purposes. For that reason, I'd prefer the Sun at 5.

Bday Party Day/time preference

Saturday at 1 is the better option although I don't love it.

Honestly you will never please every one.

I would not care about either spot. My kids don't nap anymore but when they did I will went out and did things even if it was their nap "time" I refused to allow my kids bed times/nap times dictate my life. But that's me. Others will not go out or do parties around nap times etc.

Do what works best for you that's how I decide.

I would prob decline a Sunday night party. 5-7pm is too late for ME lol. Have to do baths and prep for the week, and I want time to relax. Unless it was close family I would go. If it was any other time I would be okay.

Re: Bday Party Day/time preference

Wouldn't really matter to me. I'd prefer Saturday over Sunday but would attend either party.

Re: Bday Party Day/time preference

Either would be fine. If I had to choose I'd say Saturday at 1, but it's not a strong preference.

Sunday is too late. Dinner, getting ready for school, settling down, etc. I would choose Sat.

Ditto.
DDs' 2nd Birthday party is in two weeks. 12:45pm on a Sat.
Their naptimes are usually between 12-1pm but for an ocassion or event, we won't restrict ourselves or them for naptime. The party is barely 2 hrs. They can nap on the ride home.

When is the party? If it's going to be in a summer month, I would most definitely prefer the Sunday time slot. Actually, I take that back. I would prefer that time slot no matter what. Saturday at 1 kills the whole day

Kinda sorta this, if the weather is nice Sunday, in the winter with nothing else to do/ gets dark early -Saturday.

I'd go either time but would prefer Sat. I hate late Sun parties but will go if invited My dd loves parties and I would never keep her from attending even if the time annoyed me.

Re: Bday Party Day/time preference

Thanks everyone. We ended up doing the Sunday evening party, mainly bc there are 2 family members who couldn't do the Saturday one. I don't love it either but it is what it is.

ETA: It's on 5/21 for those that asked.
