Bathroom Lighting - Up or Down Help!
I want to do a mini bathroom makeover.
What do you think of these lights? What is the difference between upward or downward facing lights?
This is the only source of light in the bathroom - I am thinking we need the 4 bulb and it will be hung pretty high above the mirror. Right now we have the 80's dressing room type with 4 large big exposed bulbs. The rest of my home is very traditional. Image Attachment(s):

Get whichever one you like - we bought a downward facing one and installed it facing up...
I like the first one best!

We also bought one facing down...and installled it facing up.

when I renovated my bath, we did facing down, only bc its so much easier to clean.

I light upward lights, so you don't have the glare of the bulbs in your eyes. You also don't see the actual bulbs that way, so I think it looks nicer. All those fixtures can be mounted in either direction, so just pick the style you like, then mount it the way you like. And, if you don't like the way it's mounted, just flip it the other way....

i put mine downward because i need strong light but if you want a diffused light source (you may have other lighting in the room) i would go up.
