Bathroom before and afters
We're almost done with our renovations on the downstairs bathroom! We had the room entirely gutted and re-done - when you see the pics you'll know why that was the only option!
I'm thrilled with the guys we worked with - Compass Renovations for all the construction and tile work and Chapman Services for the plumbing work. FM me if you want contact info.
Here are the before and between photos - we had previously sent them to HGTV's Save This Bath, hoping to get chosen so that's why I have captions on the before photos.
The message left by the original homeowners... 
And the after shots! We're getting wood blinds with a valence for the window, and I'm putting up a picture ledge on the wall over the toilet to display photos. Both are the same color wood as the mirror.
These are closeups of the trim work - they did such a great job with little details like this!

I wonder what happened to Chickie and Gordon?
My neighbor 2 doors down was very close with them - she moved here when she was 23 (in the mid 60's) and Chickie became a close friend. They moved to Florida I think - about 25 years ago, but both have since passed on I was told.

Also, in the first picture, is that some kinda scary head hanging on the wall over the toilet?!?!?!?!?!

it does look like a scary head! It's actually a heart-shaped basket that is filled with dried flowers that are sticking out - that's what looks like the face!
and yes, there is a showerhead and a hand-held massage shower head that is on an adjustable height bar.
