Hi girls. Just a quick question. How far in advance did you book your restaurant/hall?
DS is getting baptized in April and I just started calling places to have the dinner and one place is completely booked. I'm worried now that maybe it's not enough advance notice to find anywhere but I literally just went to church this week to confirm the date. I'm officially a little stress

April is big for communions too, so that might be why you're running into problems. Don't stress!! Make a list of places, in priority order, and start calling. I'm sure you'll find something!

I booked about 3 months in advance but it also depends the month. April is very busy with communions. I'm sure you will find something just do it ASAP. Good luck.

I had the same problem. DD's baptism was last April and I started calling places in January. It's all the communions.

april and may- comunions.
You'll find something, I booked DS's baptism for May in late February...some places were already booked but I shopped around. The reception was amazing, great party.

This! I feel like every communion we go to is in April. It's just a busy month but you will find something.

I booked 10 days in advance. Our original place (booked 2 months in advance) was destroyed by the hurricane and I found a great place 10 days before the christening! You will be fine.

Thank you ladies you are giving me hope. I found one place but there is a three hour gap from the end of the christening to the beginning of the reception. I'm still going to keep looking.

We booked ours about a month in advance. But ours was in January so not too much demand at that time of year.

i booked in late nov/early dec i think for jan 20th. i didn't think january would be a busy month for parties though. good luck, i'm sure you'll find something.
