I agree. I'd feel bad for her if she wasnt so obnoxious about it ("But I live in a $5m house now!") and always saying "eww" about how other people live.

I feel a little sad for her!
I was at a party this weekend and met a relative of one of the people joe owes money to - He was soooo ****** and hates them - they owe his fil $90,000 - he said that they are vile people and watching the show makes him sick. The whole bit about declaring bankruptcy to "make a fresh start" is disgusting - it is really to avoid paying their bills. He also said that Joe is a big cheater and would bring his girlfriend, who was a Nicole Simpson look alike, to the construction site. He said it is really sad b/c his fil is never going to see that money and joe was never planning on paying him.

Not that I dislike QVC, I get plenty of stuff from there but I agree it looked like it could come from there. That is the 2nd thing that came to mind (1st was - no he did NOT spend that $$)

That's what the auction is for. At least some of their debts will be paid or partially paid with proceeds. If it is a legitimate and legal debt, the person can't say just yet whether they will get paid for sure.
I am not denying that they may be very vile people and that there was too much greed.
