Bachelor Party Spin

What about the B-parties that are for the weekend?
Like Vegas? or Cancun

My whole take on that changed when I took a "girls weekend" trip to Myrtle Beach and saw all the MARRIED men there on golf trips that were hitting on us!!

Re: Bachelor Party Spin

I wouldn't be thrilled with it but I wouldn't tell him he can't go either. I trust him completely...2 years ago (before we were married) he went to one in Vegas... but I hope now that we are married he would choose himself not to go.

ETA: Rays bachelor party was a weekend in Atlantic City.. I went to the hamptons with my girlsfriends for the weekend... we both had a blast!

Re: Bachelor Party Spin

Just like Julz said - I would not be thrilled about it, but he can go. I have a feeling that DH wouldn't go - he doesn't like being away from home, unless I am with him.

Re: Bachelor Party Spin

He was at one at the end of August (before we got married) and is planning one for his brother for whenever they get married. I don't love it, and am happy when he's home, but I would never ever "forbid" him from going. I married an adult, not a child - he can make his own decisions.

Re: Bachelor Party Spin

I don't have a problem with it. Al's B-party was a few days in Vancover with the guys, and he's been to other friends B-parties in Atlantic City. etc.

I don't think the location or duration makes a difference. You either trust him, or you don't.

I didnt/wouldnt like it- ex DH went away for the weekend for his bp but I dont think i had the right to tell him what to do. He wanted to go...And if I wanted to go away with the girls for the weekend, I would like the option as well.

Actually my cousin is having her bachelorette party in South Beach in October and guess who is in charge of it!!Chat Icon

Re: Bachelor Party Spin

Im ok with it. Im ok with it because I trust him 100% , if I didnt, I would not have married him.

I can only think people would say no because of that?

BUT that said, we are in our 30's as are our friends, so the only "weekend" trip they may take is say to vegas, and I dont see what trouble he could get into...see naked girls..thats ok, its a bachelor party, it happens, and Im not the type to worry about that stuff.

If DH is gonna say cheat...hes going to do it anywhere...and I cant control his every move or choice.

and Ditto.

i DISlike both ideas equally, but i think it really boils down to the Same thing. and really, i'm not a pro-BP person Chat Icon but how can you "allow" one, but "disallow" the other, and still consider that fair and trusting?

DH went away last summer for a BP in new orleans with 30 guys.. Yeah, i was not happy about that At All, but i felt the same way when they had the BPs locally too. In both cases, i'm not thrilled at the idea, but in Neither one would i forbid it Chat Icon
