baby's initials. am i nuts?
how much thought are you putting into this? the name we are set on is vivienne. our last name begins with a g, so she will be VG. maybe i have a dirty mind, but i am a little bit concerned that people will think vagina when they see this. then, just to add to it, our favorite middle name is an A name which would make her initials VAG. my husband says who cares, we should name her what we like. i love the V and the A name, but just CANT give her the initials VAG. am i thinking too much about this??

I agree with you. DH and I think of the same thing all the time. I dont think VG is bad but VAG.....i have the same thought.

No, you're not nuts. I wouldn't do it.
We have a last name beginning with "U" and any name beginning with "F" or "P" is automatically out.

Those are my initials now and I googled it before I changed my last name and I never found anything bad
I had an ex whose initials were VD

That's hysterical! I think about that stuff all the time too. I don't think VG is bad, especially if there is a middle name.
BTW, I LOVE the name Vivienne. That's one of my top choices but I can't get DH on board.

I didn't put much thought into the initials... but if they were VAG I too would have a slight issue with that. I'm sorry.
What about just changing the middle name?
I accidentally picked a name and middle name that resulted in the same initials I have.

ITA - VG is OK - VAG is pushing it, but it wouldn't be a problem until middle school - and they don't have to advertise it.

It seems that I am more like your DH and my DH is more like you.
I posted some time ago about a girl's name DH wants and a middle name I want for her (we are team  though). DH is so concerned with her initials being BJO. Moreso the BJ part. I keep telling him that if those are the names we love then why not? He said that it will be up to me when (if we have a girl) she comes home from school crying because someone called her B*** J**. I said he is over thinking it way too much.
So, to answer your original question, I am going to say go with the names you love.
ETA: And just think in 20+ years she may be married to a great guy who does not have a "G" last name. The "VAG" wouldn't be forever.
