Baby Shower
I heard co-ed baby showers are becoming more and more popular. Just curious if anyone is doing this or if most people do all women still !

Re: Baby Shower
Ask DH if he's interested... We considered it (my mom and I), but my DH didn't want to. He wanted something just for me, since everyone would be coming after the baby was born for all of us.

Re: Baby Shower
I would check with dh first as well... My hubby and his friends wouldnt be into that, but everyones hubby is different...
And i personally would prefer the traditional party as well but again every person is different...

Re: Baby Shower
We are going to do a co-ed shower. I'm not interested in a traditional shower & DH wanted to be part of it.

Re: Baby Shower
We're doing traditional, none of the men in either of our families would be interested in a baby shower.

Re: Baby Shower
I have a huge family so we did mostly women: my dh, fil, bil, dad and bro came and sat at the table with me, my mom and mil. it was nice having them there. they were able to enjoy a nice meal and dh helped a lot with the gifts.

Re: Baby Shower
My shower is an all women shower, but my sis had a co-ed shower and it was a great time! We cut out the baby shower games and other stuff the men wouldnt wanna participate in, but she was fine with that.

We're doing all women, although DH will be attending and probably my dad as well.
We did the same from my bridal shower.

Re: Baby Shower
For DS we had a co-ed shower. The guys that came were mostly our family members (uncles, brothers) and two of DH's closest friends. Everyone else was women. We did do one game that the guys played with turned out pretty hilarious, but we only picked 3 guys to play so as to not mortify them all
It was more like a regular party (with opening presents at the end) than a traditional shower shower.

Re: Baby Shower
I had a traditional shower but my sister had a co-ed. SHe had a co-ed because it is the norm in other cultures. If you have a co-ed shower it is not usually the typical shower like we think of it. It is more of a party atmosphere......drinking food and no shower games.....Just pure party.
