Re: baby proofing must-haves?

We also only did lower cabinets and outlets. We got the magnetic cabinet locks and highly recommend them.

We only did the outlets. I don't keep detergents or cleaners in the kitchen so that wasn't an issue for me.

We just kept telling him no when he would go to the cabinets. I did keep one cabinet for him though that he could play in if he really wanted to - it had all my tupperware in it, so he couldn't break anything or hurt himself.

We have blinds, so we had the plastic things to wrap the strings around. We also have protectors on the oven knobs.

Furniture strap to secure to wall.... when I was 5 I was pinned under a dresser.

We also use outlet covers, straps for cleaning cabinet, and had foam edged for coffee table before we replaced with a rounded edge

Re: baby proofing must-haves?

I would say outlets but the outlets we have already come child proof, we only did gates for DD to prevent her from going up the stairs, I didn't do any other baby proofing for her we just told/taught her not to go into anything she wasn't supposed to.
with DS I may have to do a tad bit more like door knob cover to the basement cause he at 11 months is already a handfulChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

ETA: for DD furniture I did secure them to the walls in her room I will do the same for DS too once he is out of his crib
