Auto Ins

DH and switched to geico a couple of years ago...

and they saved us a TON of money-
This year my INS went sky high... and neither of us have gotten any tickets or had any accidents...

I just got a few quotes online... and it looks like we could get better coverage and still save close to 400/year...

I LOVE geico.... and truly thought they were the best- is it possible that they only have the best rates for you first year with them and thats it?

Anyone else find themselves in the same situation?

The same thing happened to my DH with his insurance company...he dropped and came under my insurance...I have Allstate and have never had a prob, plus they have always given me great quotes.

I have Allstate- and love them- my insurance has gone down every year- I even got a new car- and it only went up $50

I pay $2600 a year for 2 cars- 1- 2005 and 1- 2006

I have more then the minium coverage also

Geico wanted to check back 10 years- which is ILLEGAL

and wanted me to prove I lived at my parents house with a utlity bill
and wanted way more then Allstate- fr one car they wanted $2200

Wow- in the beg. they offered great covg. at a great price...

I think I was paying like 2200/year for 2 cars- full covg.

Since then we have gotten a new car- BUT we still have the same covg.

and its gone up to like 3100/year...

I dunno- its a little high considering- Ive been driving for years w/o so much of a ticket and or accident... and DH dosent have anything in the rec'd time frame...

I got 2 quotes- but were saving me like 400/year...

I havent tried all state- but totally intend too.....

I used to have Geico and my insurance kept creeping up and up and up.
I switched to DH's insurance - AllState. We never have a problem. We pay less than $2200/year for two brand new cars.

Mine hasn't gone up in 5 years with Geico.

I'm with Geico as well and mind has gone up only a few dollars, nothing major. We have two cars and pay around $1700 for the year.

We have Gieco and pay $1800 a year for full coverage for 2 cars. One is a 2005 and one is a 2006.

I have Allstate & have never had a problem!

I pay $2500 for 2 cars one 2004 & the other 2006

We also have our Homeowner's with them

I'm another Allstate user. I've had them for YEARS...like 11 years. They've always given me the best for my buck. DH switched to them 3 years ago and swears he'll never go anywhere else.

I would call and ask why your premiums have gone up. I have had Geico for over 2 years and actually had my rates lowered recently.

When I got my car, I looked into Geico and their rates were much higher than what I was already paying, so I stayed with my insurance company (Nationwide). I pay less than $1200 a year.

Hmmmm.. I just got a new car and Geico dropped my quote 500 bucks.

Hmm...have you moved? Maybe you are living in a more high-risk area now?

My rates consistently drop with every renewal with GEICO...and I have had accidents.

I would call them, ask them to explain why your rates when up and tell them the quotes you've gotten. Because I agree with you... their service is excellent.

I work in INS and they are not always the best rates since I have actually beat their prices at times.....not always but have.

I know they automatically raise rates due to a violation or accident.

Just ask, it cant hurt and if they want to save you as a customer..they will do what they have to do.
