I get paid hourly, but there is no special rate for working overtime.

Yes. Our first 9 hours worked are time and a 1/2 and anything after that is double time! Sunday is automatically double time.

Yes, we get paid overtime here.. though you have to get "approved" to work OVERTIME as a legal assistant/secretary ... they encourage attorneys to use the 24 hour "word processing center" instead of having to pay OT to its regular employees 
BUT if I want OT, I can get it..but these days my quality of life is more important and I just want to get out of here at 5:30!
At my old firm (when I was single) I will admit that I did a LOT of overtime and I enjoyed the extram money immensely.. and I knew a girl at my old firm, a legal sec'y .. and she easliy doubled her salary just in OT alone..

We get overtime here, we can either get paid for it or use it toward time off.

OT 
Wouldn't that be nice even when I get called in the middle of the night or on weekends, nothing. Although my boss is great....and she will give me "comp" time if I had to work over the weekend or do something in the middle of the night.

Nope. I average about 55 hours a week too. I wish I was paid overtime, I would love to have just extra spending cash. Of course after working almost 60 hours a week, who wants to go out and get another side job.

no OT for me, but i get comp time if have have to be here beyond my normal hours. i don't mind, like felicia said, quality of life is more important to me right now.
fh gets a lot of OT.

workin fashion you really don't have "normal" hours...i was told my "hours" were 9-6...i used to stay late, till like 8, or 9:00 and NOT get paid overtime..it really sucked...but then when i was interning i got payed overtime..makes no sense! lol
now where i work i never work any overtime :D
