At what age did you....
...start using a highchair in a restaurant?
...start putting lo in the shopping cart?
Eta. One more....
...stop using the infant car seat? I know it depends on weight, etc. but curious.

dd went in a restaurant high chair at about 4 months. we just used a blanket to help prop her up. she is 9 months and we keep a fisher price discover and grow booster seat in the car with us. we prefer using that to a highchair bc dd has a little tray to play on instead of playing on the table where food, utensils etc are
her first time in the shopping cart was actually a week ago - at 9 months
only reason was because i always do my shopping without her.
at 9 months shes still in the infant car seat in one car, and a regular britax marathon in the other car. will be switching her soon though

7 mo for high chair and cart. This is when they started sitting up. We still use the infant car seat b/c we just haven't had time to get regular ones. We leave them in the car though. We don't carry them in it. At 18 lbs, I'd die lol

At what age did you....
DS started sitting in our High Chair at home just after 4 months so I would guess about the same at a restaurant.
Shopping cart probably probably 5 months.
We got rid of the infant carrier by 5 months. He was no where near the weight. I don;t even think at 2 he is at the weight but I jsut got sick of carrying it and it was easier to switch him to the convertible car seat.

That's what my 5 month old weighs. Well close to it. Was 16lb 8oz at her 4 month appt!

High chair in a restaurant was at 4.5 months. Shopping cart around 6 months. You can do both when the baby is able to sit well unassisted.
We stopped using the car seat at 8 months because DS was nearing the height limit.

This, as soon as DD was good at sitting up on her own we started using the high chair and shopping carts and realized the infant seat was no longer easy! So we switched to a RF convertible seat.

Be careful with shopping cart even with cover my little one leaned forward to hard and cut lip. He was fine but I'm still a mess a year later when I think of all that blood.he was about 6 months then.

Oh no! I just bought a cover for the cart and high chair. It's super plush so hopefully that wouldn't happen.

Highchair: (At home) 4 months
Highchair: (in a restaurant) 7 months
SHopping cart: 7 months
DD is still in the infant car seat now. but when i use the stroller i don't use the car seat anymore. She's still has another few months in the car seat before she hits 22 pounds or 30 inches

this is what we do too - the infant carrier and base stays in the car at all times just like a carseat would.

I start later then other posters..more like 8-9 months..when they are not so wobbly & jerky...I get nervous they will tip over. I use my carrier a lot while shopping do thats prob why I dont place them too soon in the cart.

5 months for both restaurant high chair & shopping cart. DS # 1 was in the infant seat until 10 months, my younger DS is still in it at 8 months.

My daughter is small so i did everything a bit later.
Highchair: 6 months
Restaurant hc: the same but with cover
Cart: 7-8 months with cover
Infant seat: about 13-14 months and to be honest she still fit but i just felt she needed more protection and was starting to lool uncomfortable. But technically shes still falls under the allowed height and weight. Shes a petite cutie lol
