At the ER all night....he had another asthma attack
it came on so quickly...gave him a bath at 6...
in his room getting him dressed and I saw his stomach pumping hard...
I threw clothes on him, gave him albuterol...waited 10 minutes, only got worse...threw him in car to get to ER>
I don't know what its called, but his oxygen percent(?) was at 92...which made me glad it was in the 90's this time...
gave him 2 treatments and a week of steroids...wheeze went away.
I swear I need a bag of clothes in the car, money,my cell charger...so this was his 3rd hospital visit since March.
I am tired....my mother feels horrible, every time I make headway with these medical bills, I get hit again, so she offered to pay for this one.
how do you send them to preschool? does the teacher know to look out for this? The dr said since we caught it early this time that's why we weren't admitted.
ahhhhhhhh...thank God he's such a good boy

Does he take any preventative/maintenance asthma meds? I swear, pulmicort is AMAZING....Em's asthma is pretty bad but the pulmicort helps to prevent bad flare ups..
As far as sending him to preschool.....you fill out paperwork which the doc has to sign also giving the nurse permission to administer meds at school if need be. My stdents who are asthmatic have their pump (inhaler) and rescue nebulizer meds right there in the nurses office. Some kids get them every day, on a schedule, some only when needed.
I am happy tht I am only 2 minutes away (3 houses) from Emily's school, so I could be there in a second if we got a call.
