We registered at 20 weeks and ordered the baby furniture around the same time. Maybe a week or 2 later. Furniture can take up to 12 weeks to come in.

i started it at 16 weeks when we found out gender...that's because my mom wanted to get my shower invites early since it is supposed to be in August and wanted to give people plenty of notice. I took a few weeks before I had officially added everything to the registry though.

Registered at 16 weeks with DS and ordered our furniture around 20 weeks. The furniture took about 10 weeks to come in.

At 16 weeks once we found out sex, but I did it online and still add and delete. I'm having my showers early. My NY one is this Sunday (almost 29 weeks) and my MD one is August 14 (almost 32 weeks.) Nothing was bought until shower invites went out though. MIL bought crib and mattress, we are borrowing a glider and I am going to go to Ikea to get the dresser/changing table.

I didnt regsiter until 28 weeks (superstitous). We ordered the furniture at 23 weeks, they said it could take 10-12 weeks to come in...well, Im 30 weeks and we got a call yesterday that it came in, So dont stress too much about it!

we started to register at about 13 weeks, we have been making a few trips back to add things and I do some updating online. We just ordered furniture at 18 weeks.
wanted to add that we ordered furniture last Sunday at BRU and I got a call yesterday that it is in. I guess they just happened to have ours in stock but I was stressing about it taking 12 weeks to come in, that is why we ordered early.

This. If you order from BRU, you may end up getting the furniture within 4 weeks depending on what you purchase and what's in stock.

I ordered furniture around 24 weeks. I was really indecisive with this. It came in 6 weeks, even though they said 8-14 weeks.
I started looking and reading Baby Bargains early on. I wanted to figure out the big ticket items early to make it easier. I went to BBB a few times (alone, with my mom, wit my sister, with my husband) and talked to people on here and moms I know IRL to get their input on different items. So I did that for awhile. I guess I started looking into things and reading around 12 weeks? Maybe even a little before.
I started registering online for those big items, and then registered in the store after we found out the sex at 20 weeks. I did a lot online after that..changing things, etc, but since I knew what I wanted from all that research, it didnt take me too long to finish once I found out the gender.
